Family ties are strong at Kenwood! 💚🐾 This year we’ve been so excited to see so many siblings and cousins walking our campus together, learning, growing, and making memories side by side. From big brothers and sisters to little ones following right behind, Kenwood truly feels like one big family.

We love seeing those familiar last names, shared smiles, and sibling reunions throughout the day. There’s something special about a school where family doesn’t just visit—it belongs here. ✨

Today we celebrate an incredible teacher and an even more incredible person — Mrs. Sasser! 💚

After 27 amazing years at Kenwood Elementary, Mrs. Sasser is retiring and beginning a well-deserved new chapter. Throughout her years here, she has impacted the lives of countless students with her kindness, patience, and dedication. So many children have been lucky enough to learn and grow in her classroom.

Fun fact: Mrs. Sasser has been a teacher for 39 years in all, and actually began her career as a music teacher before becoming the wonderful first grade teacher we all know and love today!

While we will miss seeing her smiling face in the blue hallway (always with the best class line in the halls), we are so excited for her as she enjoys retirement — spending sunny days by the pool and making precious memories with her grandbaby. ☀️💦👶

Thank you, Mrs. Sasser, for the love, care, and encouragement you’ve given to generations of Kenwood students. Your impact will never be forgotten. Wishing you endless joy and relaxation in retirement — you’ve earned it! ❤️

😎✨ Their future is so bright, they had to wear shades!

Today we celebrated our amazing 5th graders at their End of Year Ceremony as they prepare for the exciting journey ahead. Decked out in their Kenwood green sunglasses, these students reminded us all just how bright their futures truly are. 💚

We are so proud of all they have accomplished and cannot wait to see all the incredible things they will do next. Once a Kenwood Bulldog, always a Kenwood Bulldog! 🐾🎓

We loved seeing our amazing 4th & 5th grade Safety Patrol students mentoring their new 3rd grade trainees at car rider line this morning! 💚🦺

Our Safety Patrol team helps keep our campus running smoothly each day by welcoming car riders, bus riders, and walkers in the mornings and assisting with dismissal every afternoon. Watching our student leaders model responsibility, kindness, and teamwork for the next generation of patrol members was such a special moment! ✨️
