These Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes are cute, colorful, and so fun for birthdays, parties, or bake sales. They look like little ice cream cones, but they’re actually soft cupcakes topped with frosting, sprinkles, and cherries. 🍦

Ingredients

Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes
1 box yellow cake mix
Ingredients called for on cake box, usually eggs, oil, and water
18 to 24 flat-bottom ice cream cones
1 container vanilla frosting
1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles
Maraschino cherries, for topping
Optional: extra sprinkles for mixing into batter

Directions
Preheat oven according to the cake mix package directions.
Prepare cake batter according to package directions.
Stir in a few extra sprinkles if desired.
Place the ice cream cones upright in a muffin pan.
Carefully spoon or scoop batter into each cone, filling about 2/3 full.
Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the cupcake cones cool completely.
Pipe or spread vanilla frosting on top of each cupcake like soft serve ice cream.
Add rainbow sprinkles and a maraschino cherry on top.
Serve and enjoy!
