Good evening! Giving everyone a heads up on Aug. 31st Monday afternoon we will be dropping corn in Riverton area 789 Smokeshop & Bandit Grill and Northern Arapaho 477 Biixoo3etiit Program.

At 789 Casino and smoke shop it will be dropped at 2PM for anyone to get. Please take your own bags and take what you need. It will be placed where we normally distribute at the edge of the open parking lot against the sagebrush side.

For Northern Arapaho 477 please stay tuned to their page on when they will distribute the corn they are receiving. (I’ll share their post here as well).

I’ll make sure we send out a reminder on Monday as well.

We will start selling R***e Season permit/tags on Aug 31, 2026.

This includes the ANY DEER tags. If you drew for the 2026 hunting season.

Any deer tags must be picked up by Sept 30, 2026, no exceptions!
If they are not picked up by the deadline they will be sold in the excess tag sale.

This weekend a group of tribal women went camping for a couple of nights in the winds. It was a good trip! Thank you to all of the participants that showed up!

S&A Tribal Fish and Game Admin Office will be closed at 12pm today (Aug 14, 2026) out of respect of the passing of SBC Councilman, Western Gus Thayer.

⚠️ Bear Activity Alert 🐻
We've had recent reports of bear activity in Fort Washakie in the area of the BIA Compound including Tribal Courts and in Ethete along the river including Little Wind Casino. Please stay alert and help keep both people and wildlife safe.
• Secure all garbage and food sources; including dog food.
• Never approach or feed a bear.
• Supervise children outdoors.
• If you encounter a bear, remain calm, give it space, and slowly back away.
If you see a bear in the area, report it to Tribal Fish and Game at 307-332-7207 if it poses a safety concern.
Please have bear spray on hand and know how to use it.
