This year, the PLA sponsored a table at Caron Treatment Centers’ 24th Annual Greater Philadelphia Community Awards Breakfast held at the Marriott in Conshohocken. The program honors unsung heroes from various programs, alongside special awards for individuals demonstrating commitment to community service. Attendees from our group included representatives from Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital , KeyStone Center, Friends Hospital, Hampton Behavioral Health Center, Princeton Behavioral Health, R and D Recovery, Asher Wellness, and Plymouth Wellness. It was a great opportunity for individuals to be recognized for their exceptional community commitment. Thank you for your devotion to helping the community.

Today, we observe NAMI Walks in support of NAMI Montgomery County, PA. The weather is favorable, with ample sunshine and a gentle breeze, creating ideal conditions for walking to promote stigma eradication. Various vendors were on site to provide community resources as supporters converged from multiple locations. It is consistently rewarding to encounter colleagues from other facilities. This occasion marks a perfect day for walking together in support of a worthy cause.
