Tonight, North Penn High School, in partnership with High Focus Treatment Centers, hosted its annual Wellness Fair at North Penn High School. The well-attended event gave parents and students an opportunity to explore community resources, connect with providers, and gather information to support mental health and overall well-being. Deb from The Horsham Clinic and Mary from NAMI Montgomery County, PA, were also in attendance, highlighting the value of community collaboration in promoting wellness.

Despite the rain, today’s NAMI Bucks County Stride at Warminster Park with the theme Sounds of Hope, brought the community together in support of mental health awareness. Deanna Durante of NBC10 Philadelphia and The Philly Captain helped kick off the event, while Executive Director Nicholas Emeigh, also known as “NAMI Man,” expressed his gratitude to everyone who helped make the day a success. Raffle baskets, community resource tables, and music from a DJ kept spirits high throughout the event.

Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital, represented by Megan, was proud to join more than 30+ organizations sharing mental health resources and connecting with the community. As a grassroots organization, NAMI offers advocacy, support groups, a warm line, and other valuable resources for individuals and families.

Through the support of hospitals like Brooke Glen and other community partners, NAMI provides free grassroots programs that offer vital resources and support to individuals and families. Brooke Glen is committed to supporting NAMI throughout the Delaware Valley. It was a beautiful day to walk together in unity, raise awareness, and strengthen our shared commitment to mental health.

Lenape Valley Foundation held its Annual Su***de Prevention Conference today at Bucks County Community College’s Newtown campus, bringing together human services professionals, law enforcement officers, educators, and community members for a meaningful day of learning and connection. Guest speaker Kevin Briggs, author of Guardian of the Golden Gate, shared experiences from his law enforcement career supporting individuals in suicidal crisis on the Golden Gate Bridge and discussed practical su***de prevention strategies. Dr. Patrick McElwaine, author of The Power of Recovery, also delivered several insightful presentations, including “Changing the Lens.” The day reinforced the importance of compassion, understanding, and collaboration in supporting those in need. Recently, new furniture was added to each unit to bring greater comfort and warmth, including colorful furnishings and several rocking chairs. We look forward to continuing to enhance our programs and facility in 2027.
