Happy EMS Week to all of our incredible first responders (ACMT and all over! It is becoming more and more clear that we have to cover each other a lot!!) Your compassion, quick thinking, and dedication never go unnoticed even if you think it has because you didn’t eat or p*e all shift! Thank you for showing up every single day (kind of 😂) to care for others during some of their hardest moments. We appreciate the sacrifices you make, the comfort you bring, the OT you pull, the way you rally around each other and the lives you touch. It’s hard in the heat. It’s hard in the snow. It’s definitely a calling and not something you do because the world elevates us or even thanks us. The best people in EMS don’t do this job for applause, recognition, or reward. They do it because they genuinely care. Because helping people matters to them. That kind of calling can’t be taught ~ it comes from love of the work and love of people. And that is something worth honoring.

Saddened by the passing of our friend and Medical Command physician, Dr. Deno Gualtieri. On behalf of everyone at Acute Care Medical Transports, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. Rest in peace, Dr. Deno—you had a remarkable way of making everyone in emergency medicine feel truly part of the team.
