Disabled American Veterans Chapter#40 Fort Wayne, Indiana

We want to take this opportunity to thank Detachment #1435 "Pride and Purpose" for their most generous donation to help in our cause of obtaining a new DAV vehicle. This will replace a retiring, due to mileage, a vehicle that provided Veterans rides to their respective medical appointments and return passage to their homes. Appointments that would not have been kept without this service. This Marine Corps League Detachment went beyond in living up to their mission.

Pride and Purpose #1435 presented a $3,000 check to DAV Chapter 40 of Fort Wayne to be used toward the purchase of a new vehicle to transport veterans to the VA. Commandant TJ Taylor (left) presented the check during the detachment’s monthly membership meeting on June 15 to Commander Paul Allen (right).

DAV Chapter 40 Fort Wayne had the Greatest Time with the riders and the people who made it happen this past weekend. The Le Tour de Fort 2026 saw over 850 riders come together for some fun with friends as well as donating to Chapter 40. We cannot thank the Corona family for once again making it happen to a Veteran's cause. Steve, Vince, Colleen, Aide, Sophia you are our heroes.

Our chapter has three DAV Representatives and the CH #40 DAVA Commander representing our Chapters at the 100th Annual Indiana, DAV State Convention.

We plan to keep you updated as to what is going on in our state as the State Executive Board meets with the representatives in attendance.
