Details/Summary:
Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) were dispatched to the intersection of S. Hanna Street and McKee Street on a report of a single vehicle crash into a tree. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle with severe front end damage against a tree on McKee Street, east of S. Hanna. Medics transported the adult male driver and passenger to a local hospital, where medical staff determined the passenger had sustained minor injuries and the driver had life threatening injuries.

The Fort Wayne Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) and the Air Support Unit (ASU) responded to the scene to continue the investigation. FACT investigators are interviewing witnesses and searching for any available video evidence in the area. ASU is documenting the scene through aerial photography. Preliminary information indicates that speed was a contributing factor in the crash.

This incident remains under investigation by the FWPD FACT team.

Anyone with information about this crash is encouraged to contact the Fort Wayne Police Department at (260) 427 1222, Crime Stoppers at (260) 436 7867, or submit an anonymous tip through the P3 Tips app.

Details/Summary:
Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) were dispatched to the intersection of Hanna Street and E. Sherwood Terrace on reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian crash. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male lying in the intersection. Medics responded and pronounced the individual deceased at the scene.

Multiple witnesses informed officers that the involved vehicle fled immediately after the crash. Officers canvassed the surrounding area and located the suspect vehicle a short time later. Preliminary information indicates that speed and alcohol were contributing factors.

The FWPD Fatal Crash Team (FACT) and the Air Support Unit (ASU) responded to the scene to continue the investigation. FACT investigators are interviewing witnesses and seeking any available video evidence from the area. ASU is assisting by documenting the scene with aerial imagery.

This incident remains under investigation by the FWPD FACT Team and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

Details/Summary:
On May 5th, 2026 the Fort Wayne Police Department was contacted by Detectives from Lebanon Indiana who are members of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force. We were informed of an ongoing child s*xual abuse material (CSAM) and child s*x trafficking investigation which included federal partners in the Department of Homeland Security. During their investigation, they identified a suspect by the name of Raymond Fosnight from Fort Wayne, Indiana. A search warrant was obtained and was executed this morning at Fosnight’s residence. Several items of evidence were seized. Mr. Fosnight was transported to the detective bureau and was subsequently arrested for the below listed charges. He is currently at the Allen County Jail.

Suspect Arrested: Raymond Fosnight, 56 years of age, Fort Wayne
Preliminary Charges:
Child exploitation, a level 4 felony.
Vicarious Sexual Gratification, a level 4 felony

Loki has left the building!
K9 Loki officially retired from the Fort Wayne Police Department on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. Born in September 2015, Loki joined the department a year later, in September 2016, serving as an explosives detection and utility K9.

Throughout his career, Loki, alongside his partner, Sgt. Chris Faherty, helped secure every Indy 500 race since 2017 (with the exception of 2020) and provided vital support at concerts, marathons, visits from presidents and former presidents, senators and members of Congress, as well as every annual Santa Lighting ceremony.

The Fort Wayne Police Department thanks Loki for his years of loyal service to the community and wishes this very good boy a happy retirement filled with treats and endless belly rubs.

Details/Summary:
On May 7th, 2026 the Fort Wayne Police Department received a complaint from the Internet Crime Complaint Center for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The nature of the complaint was the possession of child po*******hy. Detective Sergeant James Haupert of the Crimes Against Person Section (CAPS) was assigned to the investigation. During his investigation, Detective Sergeant Haupert identified the suspect as Brendan Donald Chivington, a Fort Wayne resident. On June 3rd, 2026 Detective Sergeant Haupert, along with additional members of the Crimes Against Persons Unit (CAPS), served a search warrant on Mr. Chivington’s residence. Several items of evidence were seized. Upon analyzing the evidence, child po*******hy was found on these devices. In addition, Detective Sergeant Haupert discovered during the investigation that Mr. Chivington had committed a violation and failed to register as a s*x or violent offender. He was transported to the Allen County Jail for the below listed charges.

Suspect Arrested: Brendan Donald Chivington, 33 years of age, Fort Wayne

Preliminary Charges:
Child exploitation; Possession of child s*x abuse material, a level 5 felony.
Failure to register as a s*x or violent offender, a level 5 felony.
