Today, June 19, Cancer Services is closed for Juneteenth. Our Fort Wayne and Warsaw offices are closed, and no support groups or classes will meet today.

Juneteenth celebrates the end of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas and freed the last remaining slaves.

ONE WEEK AWAY | Somatic therapies and techniques are designed around the idea that your body holds onto negative experiences and emotions. The tension this causes within your body isn't good for your overall mental or physical health, and somatic techniques help you release that tension.

If you're curious about this concept and want to learn more, as well as discover techniques to combat tension, then please join us for Somatic Stress Release Techniques. Julia Hyndman, BFA, LMT, will demonstrate how to release negative emotions, stress, and trauma held in our bodies. Sessions will be held in Fort Wayne and Warsaw!

This weekend, we had the honor of joining family, friends, and community leaders in celebrating Dorothy Shaffer's 100th birthday.

Dorothy's kindness, generosity, and commitment to making our community a better place have touched countless lives through the many organizations she has supported over the years, including Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.

Reaching 100 years is an incredible milestone, but what stands out even more is the impact Dorothy has made on those around her. We are grateful for her friendship, her support, and the example she continues to set for all of us.

Please join us in wishing Dorothy a very happy 100th birthday and many blessings in the year ahead!

Sound bathing involves relaxing in a chair or on a yoga mat while a facilitator uses singing bowls, chimes, or other instruments to wash you in stress-reducing sound waves. Exposure to these sound waves can also help in reducing pain, improving sleep quality, and decreasing anxiety.

There are multiple sound baths coming up at all three of our locations. Sound baths often reach capacity, so please reserve your spot as soon as possible by calling us at (260) 484-9560.
