Destiny will register to vote this month after making it possible for so many others. To say that we’re proud is an understatement. 🥹

⭐️ Meet our summer interns! ⭐️

Kennedy is a Crowley High School graduate now studying Mechanical Engineering and Politics at NYU. He’s already helping bridge political divides on campus and recently volunteered for a NYC mayoral campaign. He’s joining us this summer as part of a civics research project at NYU.

Ovet graduated from Conrad High School, where he founded his campus SVEC. Since then, he’s earned the Princeton Prize in Race Relations and the FIRME DFW Scholarship. This fall, he’ll head to UT Dallas to study public policy.

There’s something really special about watching SVEC alumni continue to lead and give back after graduation. We’re so excited to have these two back with us this summer! 💙🗳️

📣 TARRANT COUNTY SVEC GRADS, ELIGIBLE MEMBERS, & SPONSORS! Ready to help more people make their voices heard?

Join March to the Polls, , and on June 27th to become a Volunteer Deputy Registrar (VDR) and help eligible voters get registered before the November election.

VDRs play an important role in strengthening civic participation by helping their neighbors navigate the voter registration process and ensuring more voices are represented in our democracy.

✅ You may be eligible if you:
• Are 18 or older
• Are a U.S. citizen and Texas resident
• Are eligible to vote in Texas

Serving looks AND civic engagement? Yeah, students understood the assignment 👏🗳️ We see you Isabel, Luis, Jeremiah, Kehali and Adam! (Special shout out to SVEC Sponsor, Mr. Norton as well)

These students helped moderate the “Puro Oak Cliff: Del Barrio al Ballot Box” candidate forum at Mountain View College and absolutely crushed it. From asking thoughtful questions to helping students and community members get informed before the primary runoff election, they represented their campus with professionalism, confidence, and style ✨

Early voting is happening NOW and Election Day is May 26th! Your voice matters, so make sure you get out and vote.

Huge thank you to all of the candidates who participate, and to our incredible partners - , , , and who did such great work organizing this event. It’s so important to create space for young people to engage directly with candidates and the issues impacting their communities. 💜

From a reserved freshman to a leader hosting school-wide forums and engaging directly with elected officials, he has found his voice and used it to create change on his campus.

We’re beyond proud to celebrate him as a recipient of the Princeton Prize in Race Relations. The future is bright.

One of our incredible SVEC alum, a 2021 Trinity HS grad, keeps every “I Voted” sticker he gets on his windshield. 🚗🗳️

He shows up to vote in every election, and he says this is why: “I vote in every election because I see the impact of government every single day, from the roads on my commute to the communities I call home and the news I consume.”

That’s what it’s about: showing up, every time. Your vote matters.
