On behalf of the Campus Police, we welcome all new and returning students to campus this next week, as we host RDS and New Student Orientations, as well as Dorm Move-In Day!

We are excited to have you here and are dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment. As you begin your next semester, please note the following important information:

1. You can visit the Campus Police administration building to obtain your student ID card.

2. If you have a vehicle on campus, please register online for your parking permit at [https://portal.permitsales.net/driverportal/swbts](https://portal.permitsales.net/driverportal/swbts) and then pick up your permit from our reception team. (Please take the time to read through the Parking Rules & Regulation and become familiar with the parking sticker colors and designated parking areas.)

3. If you have lost any items, please remember that we manage the Lost and Found, and you are welcome to visit our office for assistance.

The Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary Police Department is pleased to announce the promotion of Lieutenant Chip Jones to the rank of Assistant Chief of Police, effective August 1, 2026.

Assistant Chief Jones has demonstrated a strong commitment to serving our campus community and supporting the mission of the Seminary Police Department. His leadership, professionalism, and dedication to those we serve have made him a valued member of our command staff.

Be a Good Neighbor, Lock Vehicle, Secure Valuables

We'd like to encourage the campus community to be proactive in safeguarding all belongings by keeping vehicles locked and valuables secured. Remember, being a good neighbor means looking out for one another and working together to keep our community safe!

As the summer weather heats up and families are planning their get-aways, the Campus Police would like to remind the campus community about a valuable service we offer.

If you are planning to go on vacation or will be away from your home for an extended period, we encourage you to submit a “House Watch Request.” This service allows Campus Police to check on your home periodically while you are away.

We understand that leaving your home unattended can be stressful, so we hope this service will provide you with peace of mind, allowing you to fully enjoy your vacation and time away.
