The Reserve is everywhere America needs airpower.

Air Force One, flanked by four F-35 Lightning II aircraft assigned to the 10th Air Force’s 301st Fighter Wing, performs a flyover near the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., Aug. 23, 2026. The flyover was part of the Freedom 250 Grand Prix, held around a portion of the National Mall.

From hometown communities across America to the skies above our nation’s capital, Reserve Citizen Airmen are always ready to answer the call. The 301st Fighter Wing’s participation placed Air Force Reserve airpower front and center before the American public—showcasing the precision, professionalism and combat-ready capability 10th Air Force units bring to the Total Force every day.

Flyovers are a time-honored way to connect with the American public—honoring the past, celebrating the present and inspiring future generations. On this day, the 301st Fighter Wing did all three while delivering a powerful reminder: The Air Force Reserve is not in the background. We are here, we are ready and we are everywhere America needs us.
