Today, I was hopeful to celebrate with you Memorial Day
The purpose, to celebrate in the reason for memorial day, is to remember the veterans of the United States military, who some gave all and their lives, and died for their beliefs to protect our great country, and other veterans gave some, but still gave of their lives due to a big heart, to likewise protect the freedom of all those people who live in this country .
I am a proud veteran of the United States Air Force I have a 10% service connected disability and I’m very fortunate because of the many millions of lives who have either died or have 100% disabilities. I am very blessed.
My family have all served in the military
My father was honorman in the United States, Navy graduation school, and a pilot in World War II in the south pacific theater to fight against Japan
My great great uncle General Sam Houston fought against the commander of the Mexican army, general Santa Anna, to defeat him, and win the state of Texas that we now live in
General Sam Houston became the first governor of the state of Texas and Houston Texas is named after him
He later became governor of the state of Tennessee, and is the only man in United States history to have two governorships
I am a man that today is a proud, veteran, small business owner with a fairly successful business, but does a great service for my country and the community at large
My position is to stop the threat of home fires and the health safety threat of carbon monoxide exposure in peoples homes
I educate homeowners and prevent communities from having to pay higher taxes due to the fire departments, not having to respond, because there are no chimney fires due to the education I’ve given the people to know how to burn properly in the fireplaces and detect carbon monoxide leaks in their furnace and water heater pipework for other homes
I have a 100% safety rating after 24 years and feel better just helped the community and I do it with a passion because I love what I do and I love to help people
I may not have much now materialistic, but that doesn’t make the man I am or create a level of existence in today
I have been somewhat of a philanthropist giving before I received
I did it out of love, as we are taught to do so through Christianity and the teachings of Jesus Christ
Some may call me foolish.
If I am to be rated worthy or not about what I possess in worldly material things, I have learned through the teachings in the Bible that if you are of the world and chasing the money, then you are against God
Yes, I will reestablish myself with a home and property, and not my RV, which people of the world looked down upon me.
But, I will always have a big heart, and who I give it to freely is my choice.
Deceitful people have taken advantage of my goodwill, but that is okay, because they will all answer to God one day.
I am a proud man of my service to my country, both in the military, and with my small business with fireplaces and chimney work.
