Congratulations to our Dozier school community! We are both pleased and proud to report that the Texas Education Agency announced today that Dozier Elementary School has fulfilled the criteria for earning the Purple Star Campus Designation for the 2026-27 school year. This special designation, created by the 86th Texas Legislature, TEC §33.909, recognizes campuses for demonstrating support and commitment to meeting the unique needs of military-connected students and their families. The designation is effective for the 2026-27 and 2027-28 school years. We are proud to serve our military-connected families, and students! 💜💙🦆💛💜

Today, we celebrated our first year teachers with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony for each of their classrooms.

As we welcome these amazing educators into their very own classrooms, for the first time, we also welcome them into one of the most rewarding jobs a person can ever do – teaching!

Teaching is more than a profession; it’s an opportunity to inspire, encourage, build relationships, and make a lasting difference in the lives of children. We are so excited to watch these teachers grow, learn, and create classrooms, where students feel loved, supported, challenged and celebrated.

Please join us in giving our newest teachers a big Dozier welcome! We are so grateful you chose to begin your teaching journey with us! Your classrooms are ready and your students are waiting for you. 💙💛

Congratulations to PACE teacher, Mrs. Polasek, and Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Monier on their impending retirement at the end of this school year. Tonight these ladies were honored at the EMS ISD Milestone and Retirement Banquet. 💛💙💛💙 (Third Grade teacher, Mrs. Eldredge is also retiring at the end of this year but was unable to attend tonight’s banquet). Between the three of these ladies they represent over 80 years of experience in education.
