🎓✨ Carter Park Alumni Spotlight ✨🎓

We are so proud of Didier Mercado for being featured in FWISD’s Senior Spotlight! From music and leadership to earning TCU’s prestigious Chancellor’s Scholarship, Didier continues to shine on and off campus. 💙

Congratulations, Didier! Your Carter Park family is cheering you on as you begin your journey in Mechanical Engineering at TCU! 🐾✨

Graduate spotlight 🎓 For World Languages Institute senior Didier Mercado, Estudiantina has been more than a music program — it has been a way to stay connected to his family’s culture and build community through performance. Inspired by his mother’s roots in Guanajuato, Mexico, Mercado has spent the past six years honoring that tradition through music while growing into a leader both on and off campus. 🎶

Through Estudiantina, service organizations, and school events, Mercado has learned the importance of teamwork, advocacy, and giving back to others. His dedication inside and outside the classroom recently earned him Texas Christian University’s prestigious Chancellor’s Scholarship, where he will study mechanical engineering this fall. From music to engineering, Mercado’s journey reflects the culture, commitment, and community that shaped his time at World Languages Institute.
