The Fort Worth Employees' Retirement Fund was created by an ordinance approved and adopted by City Council September 12, 1945. Today, membership has grown to more than 9,000. Today, 13 members make up the Retirement Fund Board and a 19- member staff manages the daily operations and administration of the fund. Regular board meetings are held every fourth Wednesday of the month in the Retirement Off

Remember: Your retirement benefit is based on a formula, NOT on your pension contributions. The formula includes your years of service, a multiplier, and an average of your highest years of earnings.
