Governor Greg Abbott was in Tarrant County yesterday highlighting something worth celebrating: conservative, taxpayer-focused policies are delivering results.
Judge Tim O’Hare and Commissioners Manny Ramirez and Matt Krause joined Governor Abbott in supporting his plan for greater property tax relief across Texas, building on Tarrant County’s record of lower tax rates, maximum homestead exemptions, and disciplined spending.
At the Tarrant Appraisal District, we are doing our part through multi-year appraisal cycles and other taxpayer-focused reforms that bring greater stability and predictability to property values.
And our economy continues to grow. Texas added 165,600 jobs over the past year—more than any other state—while Fort Worth-Arlington-Grapevine added 19,200 jobs, growing faster than Texas overall.
This is what responsible conservative government should do: create an environment where businesses can invest, jobs can grow, families can prosper, and taxpayers can keep more of what they earn.
I was proud to support Governor Abbott’s property tax reform plan when he introduced it, and I remain committed to doing my part here in Tarrant County.
Strong economic growth. Responsible government. Real property tax relief.
Keep Tarrant County Affordable.
