Fernando Mendoza 🤝 Rufino Mendoza Elementary School

During the last week of school, students at Rufino Mendoza Elementary received a special surprise: a football signed by Heisman Trophy winner and College Football National Champion Fernando Mendoza.

This year also marked the inaugural presentation of the Fernando Mendoza Award, which was awarded to Annabelle Sanchez. The award recognizes a student who exemplifies excellence as a scholar, athlete, leader, and role model. Named in honor of Fernando Mendoza, it celebrates the character, perseverance, humility, and commitment to excellence that continue to inspire future generations. 🏈
