Second grade has had lots of fun so far exploring the scientific method and reading workshop! We learned about each step in the scientific method while completing our bubble experiment. We also got more familiar with readers workshop through independent reading!

Hands on learning in math and reading in kinder!

First grade highlight!⭐️

Our first graders have been hard at work strengthening their phonics skills using our phonics work mats! They are learning to manipulate sounds in words, stretch out sounds, and use what they know to help them spell.

We’ve also been building our independent reading stamina! Students are practicing staying focused on their books, reading with purpose, and using problem-solving strategies when they get stuck on a word. Instead of giving up, our readers are learning to stop, think, and try different strategies to figure it out!

Good morning, Mustang Families!
Many of our families are currently without power following yesterday’s storm. Fortunately, O.A. Peterson has power, and school will be in session as scheduled today.
