We are partnering with Slightly Classy Mahj Society to put on Mahjong for Hope! This event will bring together women for an afternoon of connection and impact, all benefiting Hope Local and their work supporting vulnerable children and families.

Sometimes, as we parent children who have experienced trauma, our marriages take the back burner. But it doesn't have to be that way! We can prioritize our marriages, come together instead of pulling apart, and connect. We want to make sure you have all the tools available to invest in your marriage. Join us Saturday, July 11th at C3 Church in Denton for an Abide Special Session focusing on marriage. Think of it as an intentional date night! (We'll have dinner, dessert, and a dirty soda bar!!! YUM)

We have an amazing panel of experienced couples ready for you, as well as some amazing breakout sessions. Hearing from people a little further down the road than you can be so encouraging, and it can help you feel less alone. After the panel, there will be an opportunity to attend breakout sessions with the same couples in the panel!

Here are the breakout sessions we are offering:

- Facing Trauma and Grief Together with Susan and Adam Paa
- Why Unity Matters More than Certainty with Candy and Aaron Mummert
- Dessert Date

On September 12, Slightly Classy Mahj Society is partnering with Hope Local to support vulnerable children and families through foster care, adoption, family preservation, and community support.

Whether you're a seasoned Mahjong player or have never touched a tile before, we'd love to have you join us. There will be light snacks, a coffee cart, and so much fun!

Every registration helps Hope Local continue their mission of ensuring every child has the opportunity to belong in a safe, loving family.

Attention Foster, Adoptive, and Kinship Parents!

We believe that investing in our marriages is vital. Please join us for Abide Special Session: Marriage on July 11th from 6-9 PM at C3 Denton. (For my lovely single mamas, we love you, too!! There is an Abide on the calendar for August 29th with childcare, so be on the lookout for that!)

First, we will provide you with a delicious dinner and a soda bar! After dinner, there will be a panel of three couples who have walked (and continue to walk) this road of foster care, adoption, and/or kinship care, encouraging you to invest in and prioritize your marriage. You can then head to a breakout session led by one of the couples on the panel, OR you can have a Dessert Date with your spouse! We will end in a time of worship, reminding ourselves of God's goodness in our lives. Tickets for this event are $40 per couple, which covers dinner, dessert, drinks, and something fun to take home with you!

Abide: For the Mothers was such a special time on Saturday. We gathered, ate delicious food, drank yummy coffee, made room sprays with , created beautiful bouquets to take home, and ended our time with encouragement at worship.

It’s not always easy being a foster or adoptive mom—there are so many challenges we face. But knowing we aren’t alone? That makes it possible. Remembering why God called us here? That keeps us strong.
