🎓 Congrats, Tyriana! 🎓

Tyriana is an incredibly dedicated student who has faced many challenges throughout her high school career, yet she has never allowed those obstacles to stop her from pursuing her goals and dreams.

Our CIS Program Manager, Mrs. Howerton-Limas, served as Tyriana’s AVID mentor this year, helping her stay on track with her grades, GPA, and classwork, while also checking in with her regularly to ensure she was doing well both academically and personally.

Tyriana has been accepted into several schools, including Texas Wesleyan University, Texas Woman’s University, and Tarrant County College, where she plans to complete her basics before transferring to pursue a degree in the medical field. She is a first-generation college student and has maintained an A average in all of her core classes throughout this school year, which is an incredible accomplishment. In addition, she is graduating with six extra credits beyond what was required.

"I could not be more proud of Tyriana and everything she has accomplished this year. She has a very bright future ahead of her!"

Last Friday, we partnered with Wish For Wheels and Higginbotham to bring BIG smiles to 50 incredible 2nd grade students from our partner schools! 🚲💙

Wish for Wheels is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing brand-new bikes and helmets to students at Title I schools across the country, helping build confidence, independence, and joy for children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to own a bike. Since 2004, they’ve impacted thousands of students nationwide.

A huge thank you to the amazing Higginbotham volunteers who spent the day building bikes for our students and making this experience so special. We were honored to help facilitate this event and connect our students with such a meaningful opportunity.

Seeing the excitement on our students’ faces as they received their very own bikes was something we’ll never forget.
