Molly Carr and Angela George from Greenbriar Elementary School came in with a dream to turn their school windows into faux stained glass!

They brainstormed how-tos with Wellie Sarah, then loaded up on mismatched clear index tabs, rolls of cellophane, clear tablecloths, and some black vinyl to use as the fake leading. They left with the full vision for how to bring it all to fruition!

Creative reuse is our specialty! Come with a crazy idea and let's see what we can do šŸ¤©

Remember last month when all our international friends came through Dallas for the big game? āš½ļø After the festivities wrapped up, Welman helped recover soccer goals and rebounders from FIFAFanFest in Dallas, and now theyā€™re getting a second life on the field at Western Hills High School, where our friend Joe will be putting them to work with the girlsā€™ soccer team!

Thank you to our friends at FIFA FanFest for thinking of our schools. Who knows? Maybe weā€™ll be watching some of these players in the NWSL someday!

Together, we explored how to see the creative potential in everyday materials all around us, and how that same mindset can help teachers see the potential in every one of their students!

This Saturday, August 29, weā€™re launching Pages for the People, our brand-new free bookshop! Stop by The Welman Project anytime between 10 AM and 3 PM for storytimes, book-themed crafts, and activities for readers of all ages. Come browse our fresh shelves, find some new-to-you favorites, and help us put more books into our community!

Also happening Saturday: Weā€™re hosting a Fort Worth ISD Community Listening Session with the Board of Managers from 1-2:30 PM. This public forum allows community members to share feedback through a five-question survey. Educators, students, and parents are encouraged to attend!
