Ecam Pumps

Ecam Pumps Portable radio controlled water pumps & collapsible overhead fill stations We researched, engineered, and built a pump unit that is compact, yet very efficient.

Our idea:
We felt there was a need for safer and better access to fire suppression water. We also know that there are areas sensitive to heavy traffic because of environmental concerns. We also decided to make our units radio controlled. Then we decided the fastest way for us to fill the trucks and engines was with an overhead fill station. We built collapsible units that allow them to be towed in

tandem with the pumps making it possible for one person to drive to the site, set up, and fill trucks. We feel this is the next step in wild land fire fighting. We are a small, home based business and are looking forward to answering questions and working with you. Please feel free to contact us. How it works:
1. Our radio controlled pumps can be placed in areas that a tender or engine wouldn't dare go. The compact size allows us to place the units in areas that are overgrown, undeveloped, or environmentally sensitive areas that should only see limited traffic. These units can be pulled into place with a FWD vehicle, quad-runner, or lowered in place with a winch if necessary.

2. Our hydraulically operated overhead fill stations are collapsible. This allows them to be pulled in at the same time as the pumps, then set up on the nearest road way or site that can be accessed by tenders and engines.

3. Once a truck pulls under our overhead, we remotely start the pump and fill the truck. The truck was never near the water source, and we are ready to fill the next unit.

4. Our equipment:

Each pump unit consists of a three cylinder, 40 hp 2006 EPA tier 2 engine, coupled to a self-priming pump. Each pump is rated @ 750 gpm @ 150' of head. The units are equipped with FM radio control units capable of 4000 ft. of range. They come with 60 ft. of rigid suction hose and 1000 ft. of lay flat discharge hose (in 50 ft. sections). The unit is also equipped with work lights for night operation. The collapsible overhead is set up with adapters in the event a truck cannot be filled from above. Our units come with a 4x4 tow rig; radio controlled pump unit, portable overhead, all necessary hoses and adapters to fill any type of truck, and a trained operator. Note:
BOTH UNITS ARE EQUIPPED WITH PUMP RITE FISH SCREENS that are National Marine Fisheries Service COMPLIANT. Please feel free to call with questions or to set up a free demo

Wow! it’s been almost 20 years since we innovated how we pulled water from the Klamath river watershed. Couldn’t be prouder to see my idea flourish and protect untold fish while supporting fire fighting with millions of gallons of water. It Just feels different when you are in your home Forest. One of our first Fires ever was in happy camp. We are feeling a little nostalgic. We started at Ti bar this season and landed in Happy Camp this weekend. I couldn’t be happier helping save the Forest I grew up in and enjoy hunting every year. Nothing like the smell of the Klamath this time of year!
