💪 Strong schools strengthen our entire community! As Mt. Vernon grows, we’re pursuing every avenue of support—including this request to the RDC—to continue providing exceptional opportunities for our students and support the necessary Mt. Vernon High School facility expansion. 🤝

Mt. Vernon Community School Corp. approached Hancock County Redevelopment Commission Thursday morning, asking for $20 million of tax increment financing monies for expansion of Mt. Vernon High School.

Orange House was our House Leader with the most points in Q1! Each class from Orange (K: Mrs. Hovis, 1: Mrs. Rusk, 2: Mrs. Jones, 3: Mrs. Tyner, 4: Mrs. Feltman) dismissed a few minutes early. The Viking horns were heard loud and clear at dismissal! Congrats, Orange House!

Fourth grade teachers Mrs. Danforth and Mrs. Palmer create a weekly podcast for all fourth grade students to watch and listen to about literacy related topics. This makes learning come alive and fun for students to master important literacy topics! Fourth grade students are even able to submit questions that the podcast hosts answer during their podcast. If you have a current fourth grader ask him/her what his/her favorite podcast so far this school year has been and why.
