🐾🚒 PROTECTING EVERY MEMBER OF THE FAMILY! 🐶🐱
Yesterday, Fire Chief Culberson traveled to Westfield Fire Department to accept the donation of two Project Breathe™ Pet Oxygen Mask Kits, courtesy of Invisible Fence of Indiana!
These specialized kits are designed to help firefighters provide lifesaving oxygen to pets suffering from smoke inhalation during structure fires. Each kit includes three different mask sizes, allowing our crews to assist animals ranging from small cats to large dogs.
The new equipment has already been placed into service aboard Engine 432 in McCordsville and Ladder 431 in Fortville, expanding our ability to care for our community’s four-legged family members! 🐕🐈
While our primary mission will always be protecting human life, we recognize that pets are family, too. Having the right equipment available can make all the difference when seconds count.
A huge thank you to Invisible Fence of Indiana and its Project Breathe initiative for this generous donation! We would also like to thank Westfield Fire Department for hosting yesterday’s presentation alongside our neighboring agencies.
We hope we never have to put these kits to use, but we’re grateful to have them ready when they’re needed!
Because every life matters, even the ones with four legs! 🐾❤️
