The Fosston Area Sportsman’s Club in partnership with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is pleased to sponsor Teach a Kid to Fish this coming Saturday, August 30 on the new fishing pier at Spring Lake in Lengby.

Local club members will provide instruction, equipment, and coaching for young fishers with two sessions during the day. Ages 9 thru 11 will gather from 11:00-12:30 and ages 12-15, from 1:30 -3:00. Lunch for both groups will be served between 12:30 and 1:30 at Spring Lake Park. No fishing license is required to participate in this activity.

This fun and exciting opportunity is part of the No Child Left Inside
program of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources with
funding provided by the Minnesota Legislature. The program aims to support and increase efforts to expand programming that connects youth to natural spaces, wildlife and environmental education as well as natural resource-based recreation programs.

3PM - 6PM Friday is our 32nd annual tree sale! We will be located at the city shed and we will have a great team of teenagers who are volunteering to help haul and plant your new trees (within or close to city limits).

We will also have kid activities and a tree giveaway. Come join the festivities!
