🚲 E-Moto & E-Scooter Safety

🔹 Not all electric vehicles are legal in public spaces.
🔹 E-motos are not e-bikes and may not be operated on public roads, sidewalks, parks, trails or other areas open to the public.
🔹 E-scooter riders must be 16+ and have a valid license or learner’s permit. Riders under 18 must wear a helmet. E-scooters cannot exceed 15 mph.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a global opportunity to raise awareness of breast cancer and call for action to improve access to timely diagnosis and quality care. This month our officers wear the pink patch plus outfit the patrol vehicles with the pink ribbons representing hope, support, and the importance of early detection.

If you're interested in getting a pink police patch, they are available here at our PD for $10. Purchase it in our lobby at the front desk. Thank you! 🩷

The annual Water Lantern Festival is an incredible experience where you, your friends, and your family create a magical memory together. It can be a very emotional experience, writing down some of your hope and dreams, or a letter to a loved one, and then sending it out into the water. 🚨The Foster City Civics Academy offers residents a unique behind-the-scenes look at how local government works and how City
departments serve our community every day. Through this free and interactive program, participants can connect with City leaders, learn about municipal services and decision-making, and discover new ways to get involved in Foster City.

Yesterday we hosted this amazing group where they had great questions, engaged in informative discussions, plus they got a tour of our police department. We hope they enjoyed it as much as we did. It was a nice evening getting to meet and speak with amazing people. Thank you for your support and interest in being part of the Foster City Civics Academy. 💙

Hispanic Heritage Month is a month-long celebration of Hispanic history and culture. While we celebrate Hispanic communities beyond this month, from September 15 to October 15 we give extra recognition to the many contributions made to the history and culture.
