The San Mateo-Foster City Education Foundation was nominated by district school students to receive a 2026 District Leadership Award! The Ed Foundation is among the first ever organizations to be nominated by *our students* and it is an honor to know that the students we aim to support have noticed our work. We wouldn’t be so successful without Karina Wilhelms , Kim Crellin , and our full board. Thank you, team, for being so amazing.

The San Mateo-Foster City Education Foundation is launching a Student Advisory Board for the 2026-2027 school year, and before we do, we want to hear directly from students. That’s why we’re hosting a Student Listening Session open to ALL middle school students in the district.

This is a real leadership opportunity — your child’s ideas and feedback will directly influence how the Student Advisory Board is designed, ensuring it truly works for every student.

We had such an amazing author assembly at Parkside Montessori this morning with award-winning author .sriram! The 4th-8th graders got to hear about her journey to publication and learn about the creative and book-making process as well as what an author’s life looks like. With the TK-3rd graders, she shared about meeting people when she first moved to the United States and sharing food as a way of developing relationships. She did a read aloud of her book, Dumpling Day. Each page had an active counting segment, which really got the students involved and excited! Thank you, Meera! And congrats to the entire Parkside community for your success and contributions to this year’s Readathon.
