The Fostoria Fire Department is excited to host an Open House and join together with the Fostoria Police Division for a fun-filled afternoon for the whole family!

Come out and meet your local firefighters and police officers, check out the vehicles, tour the station, enjoy kids’ activities, and learn more about keeping our community safe!

The City of Fostoria Division of Fire is proud to be recognized by the American Heart Association for our continued commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based emergency care. Through the Mission: Lifeline EMS program, our crew follows proven practices designed to provide patients with timely and effective treatment when every second matters.

We are honored to receive the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline EMS Gold achievement award. This recognition highlights the dedication of our firefighters and EMS personnel to providing rapid, research-based care to patients experiencing serious heart attacks and strokes. Our team remains committed to improving patient outcomes and giving every patient the best possible chance for survival.

We had a great time at the Back-to-School Bash! It was a pleasure handing out bags filled with goodies and fire safety necessities to all the kids who attended. Thank you to everyone who stopped by—we had a blast and loved being part of such a great community event. Wishing everyone a safe and successful school year!🚒📚

2026 Safety Town!

The Fostoria Fire Department was proud to participate in this year’s Safety Town program alongside our community partners to help prepare future Kindergarten students for the upcoming school year.

Children spent the day learning important skills that will help them stay safe at home, at school, and throughout the community. From recognizing traffic signs and practicing pedestrian safety to exploring emergency vehicles and meeting local first responders, the event provided a fun and interactive learning experience!

One of the highlights of the day was watching the kids engage with hands-on activities, ask great questions, and build confidence as they learned about the people and resources that help keep our community safe.

We are grateful to everyone who helped organize and support this event. We wish all of our Safety Town graduates the best of luck as they begin their Kindergarten journey!

This week, we celebrate EMS Week and recognize the dedicated emergency medical providers who serve our community.

EMS Week is a time to honor the commitment, compassion, and professionalism of those who answer the call to provide emergency medical care when it is needed most. At the Fostoria Fire Department, our EMS providers work every day to provide lifesaving care to the citizens of Fostoria.

Thank you to all of our EMS providers for your hard work, dedication, and service to our community.

Please join us in congratulating Chase Liskai and Jacob Vera on their graduation from the Ohio Fire Academy!!
After completing an intensive 10-week program, they have earned their Firefighter II Certification. We’re proud of their hard work and are glad to have them back in the station serving our community!

🚒🔥 BIG NEWS! 🔥🚒

We’re excited to share that the Fostoria Fire Department officially picked up our NEW Fire Safety House today!

This inflatable house is an interactive way for us to teach fire safety to kids (and adults!) in our community. From practicing safe exits to learning about smoke alarms, this hands-on experience will help make fire prevention education more fun and memorable than ever.

You’ll be seeing us bring this out to local events and community programs soon—so keep an eye out! 👀

We can’t wait to use it to help keep our community safe!
