Congratulations to Firefighters Bryce Hamman, Buck Munsell, and Matthew Williams!

Last night, we recognizes an important milestone as Bryce, Buck, and Matthew completed their journey from probationary firefighters to Certified Firefighters.

Through hard work, dedication, and countless hours of training, each has successfully completed the requirements to earn this achievement. This accomplishment reflects their commitment to the fire service and the community they proudly serve.

Congratulations on reaching this milestone. We look forward to watching your continued growth and success in the fire service.

Adios to the blue stripes and welcome to the next chapter of your firefighting career!

Today, the Watertown Township Fire Department proudly recognizes four outstanding young men on their graduation from Mayville High School’s Class of 2026.

When this cadet program began, it was never meant to simply create firefighters. It was created to give young people an opportunity to grow, to serve, to lead, and to discover the value of giving back to their community. Over the years, we have watched these cadets mature into respectful, hardworking, and dependable young adults who have left a lasting impact on our department and those around them.

Each of them may choose a different path moving forward — whether in the fire service, trades, college, public safety, or elsewhere — but the lessons learned through teamwork, dedication, discipline, and service will stay with them for life.

The Watertown Township Fire Department is incredibly proud of Riley Stier, Nolan Moore, Al Schlosser, and Bryce Hammon for everything they have accomplished and for the example they have set for future cadets.

Congratulations, graduates. No matter where life takes you next, you will always be part of the Watertown Township Fire Department family.

A huge thank you to Rob and Paige Rushlow for their incredible generosity and support of our fire departments! We truly appreciate the donation of snacks, drinks, paper towels, trash bags, and other much needed supplies that keep our crews fueled and ready to serve our communities.

We also want to recognize the amazing work being done through their non-profit organization, After the Sirens. Their continued support for first responders and commitment to giving back does not go unnoticed.

In addition to their generous donations, we were honored to have Rob join us as a guess speaker at the Tuscola County Fire Association monthly meeting. His message, support, and dedication to the fire service is truly appreciated by all.

Thank you, Rob and Paige, for everything you do for the fire service community and for always standing behind first responders. Your kindness and support truly make a difference! 🚒👏

Today, we honor the women who answer one of life’s most important calls: being a mom.

From early mornings and late nights to quiet encouragement and unwavering strength, mothers are often the first to teach us courage, compassion, and service to others. In many ways, those same values are at the heart of the fire service.

To all the mothers in our department, the spouses holding things together at home, the moms supporting firefighters from the sidelines, and the women in our community who care for others every single day — thank you. Your sacrifices often go unseen, but they never go unappreciated.

On this Mother’s Day, we extend our gratitude to every mother, grandmother, stepmom, foster mom, and mother figure who helps make our families and communities stronger.
