The Fountain Hill Fire Company was grateful for the opportunity to participate in St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church’s 4th Annual Community Day! 🚒❤️

We had an amazing time connecting with our neighbors, meeting members of our community, and enjoying a great day filled with fun, and community spirit.

Events like this remind us why we proudly serve the Fountain Hill community. It’s always a pleasure to step away from the calls and spend time getting to know the people we serve every day.

🚒 Help Support Your Fountain Hill Fire Company! 🚒

Our members will be out on Saturday, August 1st, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the intersection of Broadway & Delaware for our Coin Toss Fundraiser.

If you're in the area, please consider dropping your spare change or any donation into the helmet. Every contribution directly supports the equipment, training, and resources needed to keep our firefighters prepared to serve the Borough of Fountain Hill.

Today at approximately 3:30 PM, the Fountain Hill Fire Company, along with our mutual aid partners, was dispatched to the 600 block of N. Bishopthorpe Street for a reported dwelling fire.

Chief 34 arrived shortly after dispatch and advised that the fire had already been extinguished thanks to the quick actions of the home’s occupants, who promptly deployed a fire extinguisher to contain the fire before it could spread.

Firefighters ventilated the residence to remove smoke and conducted a thorough check for any hidden fire extension or hazards. After confirming there were no remaining hazards, crews were released from the scene.

This incident serves as an excellent reminder that having a working fire extinguisher readily available and knowing how to use it can make a significant difference in preventing a small fire from becoming a devastating one.

We would like to thank our mutual aid partners for their prompt response and assistance.
