The 8th graders jumped on the busses today and spent the last full day of school before tomorrow’s promotion at Sunsplash! It was a beautiful day - lots of laughter and enjoying friends while celebrating the end of a great year before heading to high school.

It’s a good day to harness the energy of the sun with solar ovens! i21 6th grade scientists transformed pizza boxes into solar ovens and assembled s’mores so that we could cook during class today.
They are tracking ambient temperatures, oven temperatures and observations on the physical changes. The best part…opening the boxes! It smells like a confectionery!

FHMS 8th graders have their Science Fair projects on display in the library! Judging is complete and now students are voting for fan favorites. They had some excellent projects!

STEM students have been writing lesson plans and teaching lessons to classmates. Today’s lessons included how to play volleyball and how to cast a line to catch a largemouth bass.

We had a wonderful meeting with the Protect Our Youth - Fountain Hills Coalition and are truly grateful for their ongoing support and contributions to our schools. Feeling incredibly grateful and humbled after such a special National Principal Day! 💙

Today was filled with so much love, laughter, and smiles—reminding me just how lucky I am to serve such an amazing school community. From our incredible students to our dedicated teachers and staff, and our supportive families, you all make every day meaningful.

Being your principal is truly a joy, and I love what I do—pouring into this community and watching our Falcons soar!

The Hovercraft Project is in town to spend the day with our 5th and 6th graders to engineer and build hovercrafts. They are collecting data on how these relate to Newton’s Laws of motion that will be used in class tomorrow.
