The Town of Fountain Hills invites the community to gather for the September 11 Remembrance Ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. Together, we will honor the 2,977 lives lost, recognize the extraordinary courage and sacrifice shown in response to the attacks, and reflect on a day that forever changed our nation.

The ceremony will take place on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the amphitheater at Fountain Park. Centered around a replica display of the World Trade Center Twin Towers, the program will feature a Presentation of Colors, the National Anthem, a Timeline of Remembrance, a traditional fire service Final Alarm, and a White Rose Tribute offering attendees a personal act of remembrance.

🚨 Let’s cut to the chase. Overnight closures along eastbound Shea Boulevard between Palisades and Fountain Hills Boulevard start tonight.

The closures last from 9pm - 5am and EB traffic will be detoured along Palomino Blvd. This is so crews can put the finishing touches on the Shea Blvd Widening Project, as it expands to three eastbound lanes.

Overnight closures:

🚧 September 3
🚧 September 8
🚧 September 9
🚧 September 10

We are in the home stretch! (pinky promise)

All three EB travel lanes should open by the end of the month.

Thanks for your patience. Drive safe. 🚙

🗣 "It's about everyday compassion and, just, love."

If you've stepped foot in the Community Center, you know the personal connections are just as important as the programs and activities offered every day.

Hooks & Needles is one great example. A lively group that meets Tuesdays to take on personal projects while also using their many talents to give back to the community.

🎉 Celebrating Community Impact

At tonight's Town Council meeting, we were pleased to welcome Republic Services as they presented the two outstanding recipients of their $10,000 Nonprofit Grant Program:

🌟 Falcon Fiesta Graduation Celebration
🌟 Protect Our Youth - Fountain Hills Coalition

In partnership with the Town, Republic Services has continued its longstanding grant program supporting nonprofit organizations that serve our community. The program provides funding for initiatives that promote environmental stewardship, enhance Fountain Hills’ natural beauty, encourage public enjoyment, support healthy lifestyles and human services, and provide educational opportunities.

We are grateful to Republic Services for their longtime investment in Fountain Hills and for partnering with the Town to support organizations that make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

Tonight is the final night of our Dolly Parton tribute as we turn the Fountain pink in remembrance of the legendary singer and songwriter. 💗

Our tribute has mirrored that of the State and Country which have ordered flags to fly at half staff through today in her honor.

We hope you have appreciated the tribute to Dolly 💕 ( Great 📹 of the pink fountain by Sheila Doherty )
