With temperatures continuing to rise, Ember wants to remind everyone to stay safe in the summer heat.

Here are a few important heat safety tips:
• Drink plenty of water throughout the day
• Wear light-colored, lightweight clothing
• Take breaks in the shade or indoors when possible
• Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle
• Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest parts of the day

Signs of heat exhaustion can include dizziness, headache, nausea, heavy sweating, and fatigue. If you begin feeling unwell, move to a cooler area and hydrate immediately.

Stay safe and stay cool this weekend! 🚒

Out on the course and all in for the community. Our firefighters had a great time taking part in the Fountain Inn Police Department Community Golf Tournament Fundraiser. We’re proud to support our partners at Fountain Inn PD and even prouder to stand alongside our community in events that bring people together for a great cause.

Whether it’s on a call or on the green, we’re always glad to show up for Fountain Inn.

🔥 Keep grills at least 10 feet away from homes, decks, and anything flammable
🔥 Never leave a hot grill unattended

Yesterday, the Fountain Inn Fire Department held its very first official signing day, welcoming Alijah Reager to the team full time.

Over the past year, Alijah has interned with our department and quickly made a lasting impression. From day one, he showed a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a dedication to serving wherever he was needed. Whether helping with daily operations or putting in extra time to gain experience, Alijah consistently went above and beyond.

We have watched him grow tremendously during his time with us, and we are proud to officially offer him the opportunity to begin his career in the fire service with the Fountain Inn Fire Department.

Following graduation next week, Alijah will begin his probationary year assigned to B Shift, where he will complete extensive training, testing, and certifications as he starts this next chapter.

Please join us in congratulating Alijah Reager as he officially begins his journey with the Fountain Inn Fire Department.
