We are just about a month away from the Fountain Valley Fall Festival, sponsored by the Fountain Valley Chamber. There is still plenty of time to build a parade float, set up a vendor booth, or sign up to volunteer. Mark your calendars for 10am on September 7!

The City of Fountain is currently accepting applications from residents interested in serving on the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and the Planning Commission. If you're looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community, this is your opportunity to help shape Fountain's future.

Parks & Recreation Advisory Board - The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board provides recommendations to the City Council on the planning, development, improvement, and maintenance of the City's parks, trails, open spaces, recreation programs, and community amenities. Board members help ensure Fountain continues to offer quality recreational opportunities for residents of all ages.
Meeting Schedule: First Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at Fountain City Hall.

Planning Commission - The Planning Commission advises the City Council on development and long-range planning for the City. Commissioners review items such as subdivisions, zoning requests, land use changes, and other development proposals to help guide Fountain's future growth while preserving the character and quality of the community. Meeting Schedule: First Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at Fountain City Hall.

For everyone's safety, the splash pad is temporarily closed due to lightning in the area.

Tuesday evening is the first ever Fountain 5K! The race route begins at Metcalfe Park, and continues up and down Jimmy Camp before moving to a trail along the Chilcotte Canal.

Drivers, please be mindful of participants crossing Jimmy Camp Road at Como Bay near the high school.

Sunday was the last day to register and receive a t-shirt, but anyone who didn't register is still welcome to show up and participate. The Run/Walk begins at 5:30pm.
