Benton County Economic Development Working to improve quality of life and place for Benton County residents and businesses.

Beginning January 1, 2010 the Benton County, Indiana Amended Capital Improvement Plan was adopted to specify the use of revenues received by the county from the economic development income tax (EDIT). These revenues were planned to fund several different economic development projects including the funding of a Benton County Economic Development office. With the retention and expansion of our local

business being the primary focus for the office, the Benton County Commissioners, Bryan Berry, Leon Cyr, and Kevin Leuck, hired a full-time Economic Development Director and a part-time Administrative Assistant.

Last week took on a little different scenery but was still heavily focused on economic development! It's so important to refresh and gain new perspectives from some of the best across the country! This event was packed full of excellent speakers, teachings and tips. I'm so fortunate to have been able to attend and am committed to applying what I learned to continue to grow Benton County!
