In 1900 we joined the national association of Federated Women. As the community of Fowler grew, this energetic group of women provided a Reading Room, which in 1912 became Fowler's Library, which we continue to support. We began giving scholarships to Fowler youth in 1920 and continue to give them today. Trees were planted to establish a park and cemetary. A Christmas Decorating contest was starte
d in 1930 and is still supported by the women of F. A. Flowers were planted at the mini-park and roses at the cemetary. We still support the planting of trees in the National Forest with the Pennies for Pines Program. When the new hospital was built in 1940, the nursery was furnished by F.I.A. To help travelers find their way to Fowler, a sign was erected at the Highway 99 entrance. We continue to be recyclers -- to benefit hearing dogs, handicapped kids, abused women, senior citizens and our veterans. We are PROUD of our heritage of F.I.A. volunteerism and are DETERMINED to keep the vision of our founders alive -- to serve Fowler however and whenever we can.
