🚨 **TRAFFIC COLLISION INVOLVING JUVENILE E-BIKE RIDER** 🚨

On June 21, 2026, Fowler Police officers responded to a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a juvenile riding an e-bike near E. South Avenue and Citrus Avenue.

We are grateful the juvenile survived the collision and received prompt medical attention. At this time, alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the incident.

This serves as an important reminder for all motorists, bicyclists, e-bike riders, and pedestrians to remain alert, follow traffic laws, and prioritize safety on our roadways. Parents are encouraged to discuss safe riding habits and traffic awareness with their children.

The safety of our community is a shared responsibility. Thank you for helping keep Fowler safe.

During Law Enforcement Civilian Staff Appreciation Week, we recognize the invaluable contributions of our support staff who consistently go above and beyond their job duties. From managing evidence, records, crime statistics, DOJ compliance, case filings, to onboarding new hires, coordinating city events, and handling countless administrative responsibilities, their work is essential to the success of our department.

While you may not see them on patrol or in the spotlight, Karla and Jenn are often the first point of contact for our community and the driving force behind many of the operations that keep our agency moving forward. Their dedication, professionalism, and commitment help ensure our officers have the support they need to serve the City of Fowler.

Thank you, Karla and Jenn, for everything you do. Your hard work, knowledge, and dedication do not go unnoticed. We are grateful to have you as part of the Fowler Police Department family. 💙

🚲⚠️ Parents, we need to talk… again.

We are continuing to see unsafe and illegal e-bike use throughout our community. Not every electric bike is considered a legal e-bike under California law, and some modified bikes may require registration, licensing, and insurance.

Please take a moment to review the safety tips and laws with your child before they ride. Helmets save lives, sidewalks are not for riding, and safe riding protects everyone in our community.

Violations may result in citations, fines, or bike impounds. Let’s work together to keep our streets safe for riders, drivers, and pedestrians alike.
