Today, I hosted my second Senior to Senior Program, bringing together senior citizens from the Paul’s Run community and graduating seniors in Northeast High School, at the school’s SPARC Building.

We toured the model space shuttle, learned about 3D printing, and celebrated the robotics team’s multiple awards in tournaments. The program wrapped up with a delicious lunch, courtesy of

Last week, I had the pleasure of presenting a citation honoring the 7th Police District’s Officer of the Year, P.O. Stephen Cowdery.

P.O. Cowdery has served for more than 20 years and has helped keep our neighborhoods safe.

He has demonstrated tremendous leadership throughout his career, specifically last year, when he peacefully deescalated a dangerous incident on our Roosevelt Boulevard.

Officer Cowdery’s dedication to public safety is exactly why I’ll continue pushing for investments in public safety and support for our law enforcement officers in Harrisburg. Thank you and all of our officers for your service.

As State Rep., you learn a lot on the job…..

This morning, I had the honor of learning from the 4th grade students at Resurrection Regional Catholic School (aka Resso) at their Cultural Diversity Day.

They taught me about the countries they are studying and where their families came from before settling here, in Northeast Philly.

The bonus was they had homemade food to celebrate their heritage…..which was delicious!

Last Friday, I had the pleasure of speaking to Fox Chase School students for Career Day.

From the first classroom to the last, I was asked important questions about my job and how I’m working for the community. My favorite question asked was, “Can you pass a law banning pouring milk before the cereal?”

The students I met were great. Some told me what they wanted to be when they grew up—-such as a chef, a teacher, and a content creator. Our children are our future and I will continue investing in their success here in Northeast Philly and in Harrisburg!

If you have a mail-in ballot that you have not yet mailed, do not put it in the mail. It's too late to ensure that your ballot would be received by the Tuesday 8 p.m. deadline, so if you've haven't returned your mail-in ballot yet, take it to one of the drop boxes in the city: vote.phila.gov/ballot-drop-off/

Last night, I joined our Parker for her Budget Town Hall, hosted at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, here in Fox Chase.

Dozens of neighbors came to learn more about her vision for the city, preparations for the celebrations coming this summer with America 250, and ask questions to her and her leadership team. It’s always a privilege to have our Mayor visit our community. I am grateful that Mayor Parker has not forgotten us here in Northeast Philadelphia! Thank you for your leadership Madame Mayor!

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of hosting my colleagues on the House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee in the heart of my district in Northeast Philadelphia, at Fox Chase Farm.

Alongside Farm Administrator Dr. Mandy Manna, I showed colleagues from across Pennsylvania the innovative way Fox Chase educates over 60,000 students in the School District of Philadelphia.

We learned about the career-learning skills, which are trained at the farm. We heard powerful testimony from students, and we saw how state funding allows students from across the city to expand their classrooms to green spaces.

My colleagues left the tour ready to replicate the work Fox Chase Farm does in their districts. They were inspired by the farm to school food ideas, the job training program, and how the farm teaches students about their nutrition. I’m grateful to represent such an iconic space in Harrisburg and will continue fighting for investment in our community!

Thank you to my colleagues and Chairman Pashinski for organizing this event in the 172nd Legislative District.
