Fox Island FICRA Welcome to the FICRA page! This page is to be used as a way of getting event news and information out to our Island residents and their friends.

FICRA (formerly Fox Island Community & Recreation Association) brings Fox Island together through events, recreation, Neighborhood Watch, emergency preparation, and stewardship of the historic Nichols Community Center and its adjacent Nature Center. We hope that this page will give Island residents and friends another way to keep up to date on Fox Island events, happenings, updates and news. If yo

u have information or events you would like posted on this site, please email us and we will post it for you. The FICRA Board reserves the right to remove posts to the "FoxIslandFicra" page that are considered inappropriate, offensive or derogatory in nature. FICRA stand for Fox Island Community and Recreation Association. FICRA was founded as a way to bring Island residents together, to keep them informed on the events and happenings on the island, and to maintain our great Island Schoolhouse, now known as the Nichols Community Center. Back to School Luau!
Come One - Come All! An event for ALL AGES, come send our kiddos off in Hawaiian style on September 1st, 2026 from 4-6pm 🌺🌈🌴
All are welcome to enjoy the festivities of various ukulele performances to include, the Gig Harbor Huggers Ukulele Group, dance performance featuring Hearts for Youth Foundation and The Tacoma Youth Symphony with an instrument petting zoo!!! A sprinkler (if hot), hula hoop contest and complimentary Kona Ice shaved ice for children sponsored by FICRA 🍧🎉.
