Fox Lake Public Library is looking for a friendly, dependable, and community-minded Library Assistant to join our team!

Position: Library Assistant
Hours: Part-time, approximately 10–13 hours per week, including some nights and a rotating Saturday
Pay: Starting at $15/hour

The ideal candidate enjoys working with the public, helping patrons, supporting library programs, and creating a welcoming environment for our community.

We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who participated in this year's Summer Reading Program. Whether you logged books, attended programs or cheered on our readers, your enthusiasm made this summer a huge success. We also want to recognize our amazing staff and community partners whose hard work, donations, and dedication made it all possible.

To wrap up the summer, we're inviting everyone in the community to a fun afternoon at the pool on July 30th! This event is open to the public, so bring your family, friends, and neighbors as we celebrate a fantastic summer together.

Road work on Hwy A near City Hall and the pool parking lots has affected access to some of our programs. We apologize for the last-minute venue change this week and appreciate your understanding.

Our performance programs will continue to be held in the Community Room, as it is the best fit for these events. However, if road work restricts access to the parking lot or creates safety concerns for attendees or construction crews, we may need to change the venue.

Because we often do not receive advance notice of road closures or work schedules, any venue changes will be announced here on the day of the program. Please check our social media before attending for the latest updates.
