CONGRATULATIONS, FOXBOROUGH POLICE YOUTH ACADEMY!

As the summer wraps up we would like to congratulate the members of the Foxborough Police Youth Academy on successfully completing the program.

From day one, this class showed up squared away, professional, respectful, and highly motivated. Whether they were participating in physical training, classroom instruction, team-building exercises, or hands-on activities, they consistently represented themselves, their families, and our community with pride.

Throughout the academy, our Student Officers were challenged to step outside of their comfort zones, work together as a team, demonstrate leadership, and hold themselves to a high standard. This group rose to every challenge placed in front of them and did so with enthusiasm and determination.

We are incredibly proud of everything they accomplished during their time with us, and we hope they carry the lessons, friendships, and experiences from the Youth Academy with them for years to come.

As summer comes to an end, we wish each of our graduates the very best of luck as they begin a new school year. Continue to work hard, lead by example, support one another, and never stop striving to be the best version of yourselves.

🍌 Banana Ball at Gillette this Friday & Saturday Night! 🥎

The Savannah Bananas arrive at Gillette this weekend with 2 games — Friday (8/28) & Saturday (8/29) at 6:30pm. Lots open at 1:00 pm both days with gates following at 4:30 pm. Rideshares will be directed to Lot 15A. The MBTA will be running a train from Boston on Friday and Boston and Providence on Saturday.

Foxborough’s traffic management plan on secondary roads will be in effect from 2 pm until 11 pm.

We anticipate early-arriving crowds along with most attendees being unfamiliar with the area, so be sure to leave yourself some extra travel time. Throw in the Friday evening commute, and the potential exists for traffic backups.

If headed to the games, please utilize Route 1 to Gillette. Thank you! 🍌🥎

MESSAGE FROM THE TOWN OF FOXBOROUGH:
Pedestrian Access on Revolution Way During Stadium Events

The Town’s traffic management plan is intended to safely manage and limit the number of authorized vehicles traveling through the northern section of Foxborough during stadium events while protecting surrounding neighborhoods.

The increased number of events at Gillette Stadium has had a significant impact on Foxborough, particularly on residents living in the northern section of town. The Town has received numerous complaints about unauthorized drop-offs and pickups, including rideshare activity on secondary roads surrounding the stadium. These concerns come from residents who live in these neighborhoods and experience the impacts firsthand.

Under the applicable Planning Board conditions, Revolution Way provides Foxborough residents attending an event with pedestrian access to the stadium. The Town is working to preserve this benefit while ensuring that surrounding neighborhoods are not used as unofficial parking, drop-off, pickup, or rideshare areas.
The following requirements will apply:

• Foxborough residents using Revolution Way to attend an event must show proof of Foxborough residency and a valid event ticket. No ID, no access.
• Each Foxborough resident with a valid event ticket may be accompanied by no more than four people in total, including family members and guests.
• Every person using Revolution Way to access the stadium must have their own valid ticket for that day’s event.
• Residents may not es**rt nonresidents through the checkpoint and then leave.
• People leaving the stadium through Revolution Way will also be checked at the stadium side of Revolution Way. Nonresident guests must leave with the Foxborough resident who accompanied them. Nonresidents attempting to use the route on their own will not be permitted access.
• The designated drop-off location for Foxborough residents is the Upper Payson Recreational Complex at 20 Payson Road.
• No vehicles or rideshare services will be allowed to park anywhere within the Payson Recreational Complex.
• Rideshare vehicles and other vehicles may not use Cross Street, Revolution Way, or nearby residential streets for event drop-offs or pickups.

The goal is to strike a reasonable balance. Revolution Way provides a valuable pedestrian access option for Foxborough residents, but it passes through a residential neighborhood. Protecting the surrounding neighborhoods and maintaining emergency access remain priorities.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and ask event attendees to respect the neighborhood and follow the directions of police officers and traffic personnel.
