🚐🐱 June appointments for the MRFRS Catmobile are now open!

Our mobile spay/neuter clinic will be back on the road this June, helping cats stay healthy while reducing overpopulation in our communities. Appointments are limited and tend to fill quickly, so we encourage you to reserve your spot as soon as possible.

Beginning in June, the cost per appointment will be $245. This increase is necessary for the Catmobile program to continue providing high-quality care for felines while managing the rising costs of veterinary care overall.

Even with this adjustment, the Catmobile remains an incredible value. Each appointment includes:
✔️ Spay/neuter surgery
✔️ Brief veterinary exam
✔️ Rabies vaccine
✔️ FVRCP (distemper) vaccine
✔️ Microchip
✔️ Nail trim

Financial assistance is available for those clients in need, as we are committed to working with families to ensure cats can still receive these life-changing surgeries. 💙

Sergeant Jose Cosme was born in Mayagüez Puerto Rico before moving to Framingham in 1989. He is a dedicated law enforcement professional with the Framingham Police Department and a decorated 20-year United States Army veteran known for his leadership, professionalism, and commitment to excellence. He joined the United States Army in 2006 and has served continuously to the present. From 2007 to 2015, he served on active duty with the Massachusetts Army National Guard, including deployment to Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn from 2009 to 2010.

Sergeant Cosme began his law enforcement career in 2015 with the Framingham Police Department after graduating from the Reading Police Academy. Sergeant Cosme has served in a variety of operational roles. Throughout his career, he has worked Midnight Shift, Day Shift, and Evening Shift assignments, demonstrating adaptability and dedication to the department’s mission. His assignments and responsibilities have included serving in the Field Training Officer (FTO) program, as a Background Investigator, and as a Housing Officer.

Since 2022, Sergeant Cosme has served as an MPTC-certified instructor with certifications in multiple disciplines, including Firearms/Handgun, Pistol Mounted Optics, Patrol Rifle, Shotgun, Less Lethal Shotgun, and Electronic Control Weapons instruction. He is also certified as a Taser 10 Instructor and has completed Tactical Instructor Development training.

Great work by Officer Conner and the Bureau of Investigations on Day Shift yesterday! While on patrol, Officer Conner recognized two males possibly involved in a report of a gunshot being fired last week. After an investigation, both males were arrested in connection to that incident. At the time of their arrest both males were found in possession a loaded firearm.

One male has been charged with:

Possession of a Firearm Without License
Possession of Ammunition Without FID Card
Constructive Possession of a Firearm
Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License

Second male charged with:

Discharge of a Firearm Within 500 FT of a Building
Possession of a Firearm Without License
Possession of Ammunition Without FID Card
Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License

Because of the vigilance of our officers, four guns have been taken off the streets of Framingham this week.
