Very nice to see that the FPD still recognizes and remembers the Framingham Auxiliary Police over three years after the Commonwealth of Massachusetts put our organization out of business, in the name of Police Reform. Several pictures below include auxiliary officers, including our last night of service after 80 years of distinguished service to our community.

Many “thanks” go out to our State Legislators for placing Massachusetts auxiliary police into extinction in 2022.

On we would like to thank the men and women of the Framingham Police, Fire and EMS, and to all those serving as first responders.

The Framingham Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect of an armed robbery at the Dubom Supermarket (855 Worcester Rd.) on 10/1/2025 around 8:45 AM. The suspect had a large kitchen knife concealed in a Burlington Coat Factory bag, and was wearing a “Puma” sweatshirt and “Kohler” beanie hat with holes to cover his face. This hat was found in a dumpster in an adjacent parking lot. According to the cashier, the suspect spoke in Brazilian Portuguese.

If you can identify the suspect, call the Framingham Police Department at 508-872-1212.

There are a few remaining Reserve Officers in Massachusetts that were eligible to complete a “bridge academy” to bring their training to full time equivalent after police reform legislation. VOLUNTEERS, like former Framingham Auxiliary Police Officers, were not allowed to continue their education and as such thousands of previously trained auxiliary and reserve officers were eliminated from policing in Massachusetts. Only reserve officers who were PAID for their service were allowed to continue their education, even though the base training prior to police reform was the same. Think about how much sense that makes…

Officer Guerin demonstrates the value of Reserve (Auxiliary) Officers! 💙

This morning, we would like to take a moment to recognize and thank Eastham Police Reserve Officer Paul Guerin. Officer Guerin summers on Cape Cod while on break from his full-time job as an assistant principal at a school elsewhere in the state. Officer Guerin has worked hard to achieve all of the training requirements to remain a certified reserve police officer. Each summer, Officer Guerin’s assignment is predominantly traffic enforcement on the roads of Eastham. Over the last 7 weeks, Officer Guerin has made well over 400 motor vehicle stops both on Route 6 and on Eastham’s side streets. His presence on those stops has undoubtedly calmed other passing traffic causing safer roadways and likely prevented crashes. Officer Guerin also assists our full-time staff in any area where we need an extra set of hands and does so professionally and with a smile. He is the perfect addition for us during the busy summer months to supplement our full-time staff. We would like to thank him for his hard work as he heads back to his regular job and look forward to his return next summer!
