Last night at 7:37 p.m. the Francisco Fire Department was called for mutual aid to a structure fire in Oakland City. The structure was a two story single family dwelling that was not occupied at the time of the fire. Members of the Francisco Fire Department assisted in water supply, exterior fire suppression, search operations, and interior fire attack.

Today we celebrate the women who give endlessly of themselves every single day. Thank you for the love, strength, guidance, and support you provide to your families and those around you. Whether you are a mother, grandmother, stepmom, foster mom, or someone who fills the role of a mom, your impact is greater than words can describe.

From comforting during difficult times to celebrating life’s biggest moments, moms are often the heart of the family and the heart of the community. Your hard work, sacrifices, and unconditional love never go unnoticed.

Please join us in congratulating Lieutenant D. Barr on successfully completing both the Rope Rescue Operations and Rope Rescue Technician classes!

These advanced certifications require dedication, skill, and a strong commitment to safety and excellence. Through this training, Lt. Barr has enhanced their ability to perform complex rescue operations, helping ensure our department is better prepared for emergencies involving heights, confined spaces, and technical rescue situations.

We’re excited to announce that Rescue Aromas will be set up at the fire station during the town-wide yard sale on April 11th!

Stop by between 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM to shop a great selection of candles from Rescue Aromas and support a great cause. A portion of the proceeds will go directly back to benefit the fire department, helping us continue to serve and protect our community.

Now that it’s getting warmer, we are seeing more people out and about; more kids playing basketball in driveways, more people out on bikes, people walking dogs SO exciting, right? Yet, drivers need to be mindful and remember to use caution and adhere to speed limits. A few seconds saved by speeding are not at all worth someone’s life.
