Happy Holidays Franconia!!!
I want to thank so many of you who have dropped off goodies at the PD. Luckily, we have all passed our physical fitness test for this year, so we have been indulging guilt free. I also wanted to express my gratitude and appreciation on behalf of all of us at Franconia PD for the privilege to serve this community. I have now been in this profession for 23+ years and it has changed dramatically from when I started. As much as we have had to adapt to all the changes in Law Enforcement, I am confident that our community orientated approach continues to be well received effective and appreciated in this wonderful community. From all of us at FPD Happy Holidays!

Sometime between 11/26/25 and 12/1/25 a work truck and an enclosed trailer were stolen from a property in the town of Franconia. The work truck is a unique Chevrolet G30 with a utility body and NH plate 5031835. The trailer is a Covered Wagon enclosed trailer with MA plate F67120. If you have seen one of these vehicles, or if you have information about this case, please contact us at 603-823-7025 or 603-823-8123.

Hello, FPD has the lost generator that fell off the contractors truck last week. We saw the post on Franconia Front Porch. If you could please contact FPD and speak with Cpl. Barnum so he can return your generator and maybe donate a ratchet strap.

Happy Halloween everybody! Be safe out there! Big thanks to our Admin Assistant Lorie who assembled 100 gift bags with glow sticks and treats for all the kiddos at school, including this young good looking Officer who agreed to snap a selfie with me after the parade downtown.

Important announcement for the Town of FRANCONIA !!!

Please be advised that the Town Office Building in Franconia as well as Lafayette Regional School has had their system hacked.
If you get a suspicious email with a link from the school or the Town Office DO NOT OPEN IT !! We have our I.T. department investigating and working to resolve the issue asap.

Franconia Police Department is experiencing some technical difficulties with the phone lines. We’re working to get it sorted out, if you need to get a hold of us please call 603-823-8123. This will bring you to Dispatch who will be able to get a hold of the on duty officer, we apologize for any inconvenience and hopefully we’ll have the issue rectified shortly.

Lost Doggie,

This distinguished gentleman found his way to the Franconia Inn this evening. He is patiently awaiting reunification with his humans. If anybody knows whose dog this is, please contact the Franconia Police Department. 603-823-7025 or 8123 - dispatch.
The scraggly old duffer is male, no collar, very kind, wandered into the Inn around 7:00pm.
He has a safe home for the night because the folks at the Inn are awesome. Big thanks to them.

9/5 getting word that “Zipper” is home safe…….looks like a Zipper if you ask me, like he just Zipped out the door, zipped down the road and then zipped into the Inn to say Hi safely returned!!!!
