November's Cook the Book theme is, of course, Thanksgiving. We won't have a specific cookbook this month, just stop in and sign up letting us know what you'll be bringing. Oh! And it would be wonderful if you could bring along a copy of the recipe we used to share with the group!

Connect, Dream, Discover...at Wickson Library 💫

Your tweens & teens have been crushing it at our Try This Thursday after-school programs! And yes, while they do a wonderful job of using their imaginations to *create*, we're most proud of them for their ability to *connect* with their peers.

We have 4 weekly Story Time sessions to choose from:

A glimpse into last month's NERF War!

Sixteen members of our Teen Advisory Board led yet another wonderful after-hours NERF event for 38 local tweens!

Over the course of the 1.5 hour event, the kiddos played several rounds of NERF Wars, including: Humans vs. Zombies, Battle Royale, and Hide and Go Seek.

Our next TAB-led event takes place this Saturday (October 24th) for grades 4-8. We're hosting a Great Hall Halloween Gala inspired by the world's most famous wizard. At the time of posting, there are just 3 spots still available- give us a call or stop in to register!

In addition to our regular weekly schedule, we have a few super special events happening this week- check it out!

📚On Tuesday at 1pm, the Friends of the Frankenmuth Wickson District Library will host their quarterly meeting on the 2nd floor of the library. If you've ever been interested in learning more about the Friends group and how they benefit the library, this is your chance to learn more!

🧩If you registered for October's Destination Story Time, don't forget to meet Mrs. Emmons at Toyberg on Thursday at 10am! (And if you registered but can no longer attend, PLEASE call us and let us know, as these sessions typically have a wait list.)

⚡Wickson Library will transform into a wonderful world for wizards on Saturday evening for our Great Hall Gala! If your 4th-8th grader would like to attend, call us at 989-652-8323 to confirm if there is still space available!

In a recent Interview magazine article, America's "It" Girl, Tik Tok sensation, multi-hyphenate entrepreneur, and all-around polarizing pop culture icon, Alix Earle, admitted toInterview's editor-in-chief, Mel Ottenberg, that she can't remember the last time she's read a book.

So, like many other people on social media, I thought I would take a crack at compiling a list of six books I think Alix should read for her future book club...

Just in time for "sick season" learn how to handcraft a topical medicinal salve from the herbal master himself- Bevin Cohen! 🌱

Bevin (Ben) Cohen is an author, herbalist, seed saver and host of the popular Seeds & Weeds podcast. Using high-quality, herb-infused oils, he will share how to choose the right ingredients for your salve, as well as provide an in-depth demonstration.
Attendees will be able to take home their own herbal salve to enjoy!
