By addressing issues ranging from peer pressure to body image, A.R.I.S.E participants learn the importance of carrying themselves with grace and dignity, with emphasis on the importance of self-respect and self-worth. That says a lot about how some people view and value our children. That’s exactly why it’s so important for us to invest in them—because our children are our future.

We have to do better. Let’s be more intentional about parenting, mentoring, encouraging, protecting, and guiding our young people. Let’s listen to them, speak life into them, and remind them that their lives have value and purpose.

Most importantly, let’s love on our children even more. ❤️

It takes more than telling our children they can succeed—we have to pour into them, create opportunities for them, and give them the support they need to believe it for themselves.

Invest in our children today, because they will become the leaders of tomorrow.

A very special THANK YOU to Pat Jones, Executive Director of the AFRAM Festival, for continuing to provide a platform that brings together businesses, organizations, families, and communities. Events like AFRAM create opportunities for us to network, support one another, share resources, celebrate culture, and build meaningful relationships. Thank you, Pat, for your leadership and for creating space for so many people to be seen, heard, and connected. ❤️

I thoroughly enjoyed myself—networking, meeting amazing people, and having the opportunity to share A.R.I.S.E. Youth Mentoring, Corp. and The Essence of S.A.W. with the community.
