These wasted dollars don't make cents. There was an estimate it would cost $5 million to demolish the bridge. There was a bid for $16 million which was rejected. They then pay over $10 million to demolish the bridge because the last bid was "significantly higher than estimates. Sure over 3 times the cost is significant, but more than doubling the estimates is significant too. That's how basic math works.

This is the type of local government waste I'm against. We have a whole arts community in Frankfort, but nah let's outsource it to someone without a local connection. I've been getting different estimates of how much this guy is getting paid for his work. If anyone knows the real number let me know.
