January tax renewal notices provided by the Kentucky Dept of Transportation have gone out, but they have not been delivered to residents yet due to weather, holidays, and postal back log. We understand the frustrations this causes but please know this is out of the Franklin County Clerk's Office control. Please feel free to either come in person to the office or renew online.

Beginning May 7, 2025, Kentuckians must be REAL ID compliant to board U.S. commercial flights and access military bases or federal facilities that require ID.

Franklin County Clerk’s Office will be closed Monday January 20th.

All County administrative offices will be closed on Monday, January 20th, 2025, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. We will resume our normal operations on Tuesday, January 21st, 2025, at 8 AM.

Good morning!
With the upcoming weather conditions, our plan is to close at 12:00 today.
If you are needing to do some business with us, the parking spots are clear right now and we are open for business till 12:00.
No transfers after 11:30.

Franklin County Clerk’s Office will be operating on a 2 hour delay tomorrow, Tuesday, January 7th.
We will open the doors at 10:00 am.

Due to the ongoing snow storm, ALL Franklin County administrative offices will be closed tomorrow, January 6, 2025. This includes the Fiscal Court, Planning & Zoning, Occupational Tax Office, the County Clerk, PVA and Judicial Center/Court House. Emergency and critical operations will continue to operate normally.

As of today Jennifer Riddle has retired from the Clerk’s office.
With 27 + years of service and tons of knowledge, she definitely will be missed by all.
Congratulations Jennifer on your next chapter whatever that may be.
