Kentucky Association of Transportation Engineers KATE was established in 1970 to maintain and improve working conditions, promote professionalism, and foster fellowship amongst engineers at KYTC

The objectives of this Association shall be to promote fellowship and cooperation among the members; to promote social and economic welfare of its members; to advance the professional reputation of Transportation Engineers working in Kentucky State Government through interchange of technical knowledge in Transportation Engineering and by fostering true engineering ethics; to promote employment pra

ctices for Transportation Engineers in state government that are based solely on professional factors; and to promote the public interest as affected by the services of Transportation Engineers.
